Serious questions have been raised about the Government's targets for delivering zero carbon buildings - both in terms of cost and practical engineering. M&E Sustainability chairman Jim O'Neil argues that by focusing on the implementation of a 'low rather than zero carbon' programme, the country will achieve far greater carbon emission reductions and secure essential cost savings.
14.30 - 15.30 Launch of BSRIA and CIBSE Commissioning Water Service Codes and and Job Book Guides - Chris Parsloe and Glenn Hawkins
BSRIA and CIBSE have been working on new guidance for commissioning water systems. Critically they have ensured that the guidance given in the two publications, CIBSE Code W and BSRIA Guide BG2/2010 are the same. Chris Parsloe is the author of the Code and the Guide about the new advice on dealing with tolerances in ultra low flow rates systems and other changes. Glenn Hawkins has compiled BSRIA's new ‘Commissioning Job Book’, a sister volume to BSRIA's popular Building Services Job Book, will talk on the commissioning process.

Graeme Fox will present the most up-to-date results of AREA’s research into how effective the regulation has been to date; where emissions have been reduced, by how much and could we do better? The seminar will be an opportunity for industry to register their response to the European Review to ensure contractors and end users are totally effective in implementing these regulations.
